Kelly Clarkson is helping out residents of Lake Charles, Louisiana whose homes were devastated by Hurricanes Laura and Delta last year.
The songstress/talk show host, 38, teamed up with furniture retailer Wayfair to rehab and renovate the homes of the Gomez family and local resident Martha Bergeron, sharing their stories in two new videos.
After the homes were left with extensive damage, Kelly and Wayfair swooped in to ‘rebuild the community,’ covering all the costs while renovating the interior and exterior of the homes and adding flair with many pieces from her Kelly Clarkson Home collection.

After the storms residents homes ‘were left with leaking roofs, shattered windows, broken doors and damaged siding,’ according to a press release from Wayfair.
Exacerbating the damage, the homes also had ‘extensive leaks’ while ruined carpets, countertops, furniture and personal items.
‘2020 was a year we’ll never forget,’ Kelly said in a statement.
‘The Lake Charles community faced an extremely difficult situation when the place they call home was hit by deadly storms that caused a tremendous amount of loss.’
The American Idol champ continued, ‘It can take years to rebuild a community, but if we work together to help those in need, we can accomplish a lot.’
‘I am so happy that Wayfair and I were able to step in to help these families get back on their feet by creating a space they love and are proud to call home,’ the multitalented mom-of-two went on.

Kelly’s had a productive time during the pandemic, contributing to good causes, raising her boys and writing music to cope with the heartbreak following her divorce from Brandon Blackstock.
And she’s been prolific during her time inside.
Clarkson, 38, explained that she considers it ‘a blessing’ to able to pour out her feelings in song.
‘Anytime you go through some life, it’s such an awesome thing to have that outlet, regardless of whether people hear it or not,’ she said.

The singer filed for divorce from Blackstock, 44, in June last year after almost seven years of marriage.
They are currently battling over a financial settlement and over custody of daughter River Rose, six, and son Remington Alexander, four.
