Kit Harington cycles in Dublin while filming for Amazon Prime’s Modern Love

Winter is definitely coming! Kit Harington battles the rain as he cycles in chilly Dublin while filming new scenes for series two of Modern Love

He is currently expecting his first child with his wife Rose Leslie.

But Kit Harington was keeping busy filming the second series of Amazon Prime’s hit show Modern Love in a wet and windy Dublin on Sunday.

The Game Of Thrones actor, 33, battled the elements while cycling down a steep hill as he filmed a new scene for the romantic comedy.

He wrapped up warm in a blue patterned shirt and a thick navy overcoat as he battled through the rainy autumnal weather on his silver bicycle.

The TV star paired his stylish attire with a simple pair of black trousers and lace-up winter boots as he was joined by the crew on the set.

Abandoning Jon Snow’s famously shaggy mane of hair, the actor instead sported a much neater crew cut with a short moustache and beard.

Kit made sure to put safety first as he sported a white bike helmet, looking rather downtrodden in-between takes.

The cast and crew made sure to help slow the spread of coronavirus by donning white face masks while filming the scene.

One member of the crew, donning a high-vis jacket and a raincoat, was seen fixing Kit’s outfit and fastening him into his helmet before the cameras started rolling.

According to Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke, Modern Love explores ‘love in its multitude of forms – including sexual, romantic, familial, platonic, and self love’.

The first series of the hit show was based on a New York Times column by the same name.

But Kit is also facing excitement in his personal life as his wife, and former Game of Thrones co-star Rose, 33, is pregnant with their first child.

The Downton Abbey actress was catapulted to fame with her role of Ygritte in Game Of Thrones where she met Kit who played love interest Jon Snow.

And she showcased her blossoming baby bump for the first time in September.

Earlier this month, Rose revealed that she is ‘thrilled’ to be expecting her first child as she addressed her pregnancy for the first time.

Speaking to the New York Post, she said: ‘I am thrilled to be expecting. I can’t wait to meet the new member of our family!’

The co-stars also recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary, after tying the knot in June 2018 at Rose’s spectacular 12th-century Wardhill Castle in Aberdeenshire.

Speaking to Stylist magazine about her time in lockdown, Rose said: ‘I feel incredibly grateful. My husband and I were fortunate to spend lockdown in the countryside.’

She continued: ‘We raised a puppy in lockdown. We were trying to eke out conversation over the dinner table, talking about nothing but what we’d eat the next day.

‘It has been an extraordinary time for all of us, it certainly slowed us down.’
