Lady Gaga confesses to ‘feeling blue’ about COVID-19 pandemic… as she tries to inspire fans to ‘celebrate yourself, your voice in the world’

With the COVID-19 pandemic still wreaking havoc across much of the U.S., Lady Gaga has been turning much of her focus and energy on her Haus Laboratories cosmetics brand.

And on Monday the pop superstar and entrepreneur took to Instagram and shared some intimate, personal feelings, as more and more people start hunkering down in their homes due to the recent surge in confirmed coronavirus cases.

‘I don’t usually write about @hauslabs this way, but I felt like I really should this holiday. I was feeling blue tonight and thought about how so many people are going through hard times during this pandemic,’ she began in the caption of a selfie photo.

Lady Gaga confessed to ‘feeling blue’ over the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and then tried to cheer herself up by putting on makeup from her Haus Laboratories cosmetic brand

In the up-close photo, the Born This Way star is looking straight into the camera with her blonde tresses pulled back into a ponytail.

‘I decided to put some of my makeup on to cheer myself up and it reminded me of something I’ve always believed. It is SO IMPORTANT that you celebrate yourself, live colorfully and rejoice in that BRAVE SOUL that is you,’ she added in an attempt to inspire her 45.1 million followers.

‘Celebrate your valor, your culture, your voice in the world. You are essential. And so is your joy.’

Earlier in the morning, Gaga (born Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta) shared a more tradition promo for her cosmetic brand.

In the photo the New York City native flashes a casual but serious look on her face as she applied eyeshadow while sporting light blue hair.

‘HOLIDAY 4 U! Keep it sexy this season with a new kind of 4-WAY. Tomorrow we’re dropping 9 new 4-WAY SHADOW PALETTES from @hauslabs,’ she wrote.

‘Each of these eyeshadow palettes offers multiple finishes and shades to bring your fantasies to life!’

Haus Laboratories is the singer-songwriter’s vegan and cruelty-free cosmetics brand that she launched in September 2019.

Originally launched in 2012 as a perfume brand, Haus Labs is the first major beauty line to launch exclusively on Amazon and distributed in nine countries including the UK, US, France, Japan, and Germany.

On a more personal front: Gaga has been very open about her battles with her mental health.

‘I have struggled for a long time, both being public and not public about my mental health issues or my mental illness,’ she admitted when she accepted the Global Changemakers Award in 2018 as reported by Billboard.

‘But I truly believe that secrets keep you sick,” Gaga admitted before adding, ‘To me, almost every problem you can think of can be solved with kindness. At least it could be made better… w need more kindness in the world.’
