Leona Lewis and Vanessa Williams will star in Queen Of The Universe which is a ‘drag queen version of an American Idol-style show’


Singers Vanessa Williams and Leona Lewis will be working together this year on a new TV show.

The artists have signed up to star in the singing competition called Queen Of The Universe, Variety reported on Thursday. The show will debut on December 2 on Paramount+ in the United States.

And it will also stream on various services throughout Australia, Canada, Latin America and Scandinavia. 

Soon after Vanessa was cast she shared a video to Instagram.

The Eraser actress also posted an official photo from the show where she was posing in a skintight gold gown.

Williams, 58, is best known for acting on the TV shows Desperate Housewives and Ugly Betty.

Queen Of The Universe aims to ‘makeover an American Idol-style singing competition series with drag queen contestants.’

There will also be a global perspective with the series shot in London.

And there will be contestants from 10 countries, including the U.S., Mexico, China, India, England and Canada.

They will be performing in person in front of the judges and a live audience.
