Lleyton and Bec Hewitt move to Sydney to ‘escape Covid-19 restrictions in Melbourne’

Farewell to the King and Queen of Toorak? Lleyton and Bec Hewitt move to Sydney to ‘escape Covid-19 restrictions in Melbourne’ – but they’re expected to return soon

They were rumoured to be heading north, and it turns out Lleyton and Bec Hewitt have indeed relocated from Melbourne to Sydney.

But it’s only a temporary move to ‘escape’ coronavirus restrictions in the Victorian capital and they will be back in Toorak shortly, reports the Herald Sun.

The confirmation comes after New Idea reported earlier this week that Bec was hoping to move to Sydney’s Northern Beaches, where she grew up.

The magazine claimed that being back on familiar territory would help with a career comeback, as Home and Away is filmed less than an hour away in Palm Beach.

Bec portrayed Hayley Smith Lawson on the soap opera from 1998 to 2005, and it’s been rumoured for years that she will reprise her role someday.

This doesn’t seem to be the case, however, as Bec and Lleyton have firm roots in Toorak, where they bought a $12.7million property in April 2017.

While it’s unclear where the Hewitts are staying, they were spotted looking at properties in inner Sydney several months ago.

Bec left Channel Seven’s Home and Away shortly after marrying tennis champion Lleyton in a ceremony at Sydney’s Taronga Zoo.

Having children with the sportsman effectively marked the end of her acting career.

She went on to host travel program Helloworld, but this project was put on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic this year.

Meanwhile, Lleyton and Bec’s children, Mia, 15, Cruz, 11, and Ava, 10, are growing up at lightning-fast speed.

The Hewitts’ eldest daughter, Mia, has reportedly already expressed an interest in pursuing a modelling career in Paris or New York.
