Love Island Australia’s luxurious new Byron Bay villa is revealed

The highly anticipated third season of Love Island Australia is coming to Channel Nine very soon.

Tradies and production crew are working around the clock to complete the stunning villa, dubbed Amileka, in the Byron Bay hinterland.

It will be where single and attractive islanders will mingle and potentially find love, all while competing for $50,000.

The luxurious property – which costs nearly $2,500 per night – sits on 25 acres and is located about 30 minutes away from the town of Byron Bay.

It features five bedrooms that will likely be reconfigured to one large room and a ‘hideaway’ room for the purposes of the show.

The property – designed by architect Sharon Fraser – also offers three spacious and stylish bathrooms, enough to cater for the villa’s hot new guests.

Alongside the deck appears to be a stage – likely where Sophie will host re-coupling ceremonies.

Trucks can be seen on the site, preparing the set while a cherry picker is beside a large tree on the property – likely trimming it down.

This comes after Love Island Australia’s production was forced shut down earlier this month.

Just days after it was revealed the ITV program had been forced to change locations from Queensland to Northern NSW due to border closures, new reports have emerged that filming has been halted due to a breach of Council regulations.

Earlier this month TV Tonight reported that construction of Love Island’s famous villa was shut down, after producers failed to submit a Covid safety plan to the local council.

The production also failed to submit details of cast and crew’s travel plans, the report claims.

ITV assured the publication that a ‘comprehensive CovidSAFE plan’ has now been enacted on-set.

Among the protocols they have ensure are ‘rigorous covid testing regime for all cast and crew,’ and a safety team including covid marshalls.

Love Island Australia returns to Channel Nine later this year.
