She dramatically rekindled her romance with Shaq Muhammad after an epic declaration of love.
But Love Island fans were quick to accused Tanya Manhenga of double standards on Tuesday after she insisted she ‘didn’t have the opportunity’ to tell Martin Akinola about her kiss with Shaq Muhammad.
The brunette was furious when Martin branded her a liar for failing to come clean about her kiss before her speech for Shaq, leaving him high and dry.
But an angry Tanya insisted she’d never lied to him and just hadn’t been given the chance to tell Martin about the kiss.
However, viewers were quick to call her out by noting that Tanya could have told Martin the truth the morning after the kiss happened, as they both ended up having breakfast together.

During the episode, Martin called Tanya ‘insincere’ and ‘a liar’ and accused her of making him look like a ‘dumb idiot.’
Meanwhile Martin catches up with Olivia and Maxwell to discuss how he’s feeling in light of Tanya’s admission, Martin says: ‘I look like an idiot in front of everyone.’
As Martin heads over to Tanya and Shaq he says: ‘Tanya, can we have a chat? Shaq, you know I have no problems with you, it’s all good.’
Tanya and Martin head to the fire pit as he says: ‘When I was speaking to you, you never told me you were a liar. You’re not sincere, you made me look like I was dumb, you’re a liar.’
Tanya asks: ‘Is that what you had to get off your chest?’ and later furiously told Martin to ‘grow up’ and ‘act his age.’
She also insisted she ‘didn’t have the opportunity’ to tell Martin about her kiss with Shaq, a statement with which many viewers took issue.
One tweeted: ‘So Tanya you had the opportunity to tell Jessie but not Martin? babes don’t disgrace your city girls PLEASE.’
Another added: ‘Tanya he made you breakfast the next day.’
‘Tanya calling Martin bitter is insane? You literally announced that you kissed Shaq secretly like it was BBC Breaking News,’ a third fan posted.
One also wrote: ‘TANYA YOU HAD PLENTY OF OPPORTUNITIES AND U DECIDED TO EMBARASS HIM INSTEAD.’
‘Tanya is something else lol. ”I didn’t have the opportunity to tell you, as if she didn’t sit and eat Martin’s breakfast the morning after she kissed Shaq,’ one fan added.
Later, Olivia told Tamya to apologise for admitting the kiss in the way she did it, and potentially humiliating Martin.
She begrudgingly agreed, and told Martin she is sorry for the way she told him the truth about the kiss, and that she should have admitted it sooner.
