Anna Vakili updated fans on her coronavirus battle in an Instagram clip shared on Thursday.

The Love Island star, 30 – whose parents and sister Mandi, 28, have also contracted the virus – insisted she’s ‘on the road to getting to 100% by New Year’s’ after days of experiencing ‘bad shakes, nausea and a headache’.

Expressing her gratitude towards her followers, the model thanked fellow social media users for their support and said she felt ‘lucky’ to be spending the festive season with her family.

Going make-up free in the video, the reality star detailed her symptoms as she explained from her bed: ‘Hey guys, I had so many messages from you guys asking about my symptoms.

‘I feel like it’s almost my duty to do that because as I didn’t have the typical symptoms, you’d know that… everyone is self-isolating anyway but still. My main symptom was really bad shakes. I was really cold for the first few days.’

The influencer admitted she wasn’t aware that she had caught the disease as she didn’t suffer from the main signs.

Anna shared: ‘I was freezing and felt like I had a temperature but it wasn’t so high – that’s why I didn’t think it was Covid. But I was constantly cold and shaking, to the point that I couldn’t get out of bed.

‘The cough came after four days. Other than that, I had a bit of nausea and a bit of a sinus headache.’

The TV star went on to share that she’s on the mend as she added: ‘Now my temperature is back to normal, I’m not shaking anymore, nausea is gone and I had my headache up until this morning, thankfully it’s gone.

‘I feel really lucky, I’m definitely on the road to getting to 100% again, hopefully by New Year’s. Thank you everyone for your kind messages, it’s not really how I imagined Christmas or New Year’s. I still feel lucky to be around my family.’

The media personality ended her post by revealing she and her younger sibling’s battles were different, while her 69-year-old father was barely affected by COVID-19.

She said: ‘Before I jump off, the main symptoms of coronavirus of losing taste and smell… Mandi has said she’s lost it but I don’t really think I have.

‘I can’t taste as much as I used to, but I can still slightly taste. It wasn’t to the point where I recognised it and thought I had Covid. Now I’m just left with the cough. The reason why I’m with my parents is because we were all together.

‘I know it doesn’t seem like my dad has Covid, he had symptoms for like a day. His immune system, touch wood, is amazing.’

The bombshell had revealed she and make-up artist Mandi had tested positive on Wednesday.

The duo had planned to spend New Year’s Eve in Dubai before UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson introduced a Tier 4 system, which has banned all non-essential travel for residents of the region.

Last month, Anna revealed she and Mandi had prepared to remove their breast implants, but it is unclear whether the pair went ahead with the surgery, given the current coronavirus restrictions.

The beauty recently admitted she suffered from neck pain and has been left with a ‘completely numb’ chest after undergoing a botched boob job seven years ago.

In an Instagram Q&A, the pharmacist said:  ‘I am so excited for the surgery. It’s on the 15th of December, me and Mandi are going on the same day.

‘It’s just going to be so good, I’m so excited to wear different outfits and to feel comfortable after suffering pain in my neck.’

Speaking with Fabulous, Anna explained how she had the procedure to feel ‘sexier’, but now thinks it was a ‘stupid mistake’.

The Twickenham native said: ‘When I first got them done, I wanted to feel sexier. But it was a mistake thinking bigger boobs would do that.

‘My boobs were always really sensitive. It was the best part of sex but now they’re completely numb and it’s so upsetting I’ve lost that sensation.

‘Pre-surgery, my boobs were actually perfect. But I was easily influenced and made a stupid mistake… You should just never have surgery to try to look sexy for a guy.’
