While Ovie fought with his Twitter followers about lockdown, one fan advised him that the ‘best thing to do is to ignore’ the trolls.

The sportsman said that while he agreed with his fan and that ‘is the best way to go’, he added that today was the one day that he has ‘got time’ to hit back.

He said: ‘Definitely, and 364 days out of the year I think that is the best way to go, buut today’s that one day, I got TIME’ (sic)

Ovie later hysterically compared the trolls targeting him to a ‘silent fart’, penning that even though you ‘can’t see them, but they stink’.

He continued: ‘Some of the trolls, boy I tell ya. They’re like a silent fart, can’t see them, but they STINK.’

Ovie was catapulted into the limelight when he entered the fifth series of Love Island in 2019.

Despite coupling up with India Reynolds, 28, and finishing third place on the ITV dating show, the two did not last on the outside world.

The pair called it quits in September just months after leaving the Majorca sun, but Ovie has remained close friends with many of his fellow Islanders, including the series winner and best pal Amber Gill.

He is most recently starring in a new series, Ovie Soko: Life After Reality TV, where he speaks to other former TV stars to help him work out his next steps.

The BBC Three show has seen him meet with original Towie cast member Mario Falcone, ex-Geordie Shore star Sarah Goodhart and Love Island’s Olivia and Alex Bowen.

Ovie Soko: Life After Reality TV is available to watch on the BBC iPlayer from November 10.
