The series will be Simon’s newest venture since The X Factor was reportedly axed earlier this year after 17 years on air.

It was reported that Simon pulled the plug on the ITV talent show – which launched in 2004 and last aired in 2018 – because he doesn’t want the programme to ‘become a bit of a joke.’

The 2018 final only had 5.3million viewers compared with the staggering 17.2million in 2010.
