MAFS bad boy Sam Ball braces himself for MORE backlash as his season is about to air in America

Sam Ball’s new nightmare: Married At First Sight bad boy braces himself for MORE backlash as his season is about to air in America

Despite his best efforts, Sam Ball has been unable to shake off his controversial portrayal on Married At First Sight two years ago.

The cheating groom, 28, infamously fat-shamed his ‘wife’ Elizabeth Sobinoff on their wedding day, then had an affair with co-star Ines Basic.

The Army recruit is now facing backlash in the UK as his season airs for the first time on E4 – and he’s steeling himself for a fresh wave of online abuse after learning the show is also about to screen in the United States.

‘It’s about to go off again!’ Married At First Sight’s season six bad boy Sam Ball (pictured) has braced himself for MORE backlash as his season is about to air in America

While it’s been two years since his reality TV appearance, Sam’s ‘fat-shaming’ comments were used to progress Lizzie’s storyline on the 2020 season as she returned for a second chance at love.

He was also discussed on the recent 2021 two-part Grand Reunion special.

‘I’m getting hung out to dry left right and centre. It’s been brought up again and again over the years. Every single year!’ Sam told his Instagram fans on Wednesday.

‘And it’s about to go off again, because it’s about to air in America. It just doesn’t stop,’ Sam continued.

In January, Sam revealed the horrific abuse he had been facing from British viewers as his season began airing in the United Kingdom on E4 channel.

‘I don’t have anything to prove to anyone nor do I really care, it’s the past but the show is exploding overseas and I feel like you all need to know what the reality TV world is like from my experience on it as it’s taken lives from suicide along with causing serious mental health issues for many,’ Sam wrote at the time.

‘Lizzie got out of the f**king limo and says, “Oh, my God, look how chunky tubby is.” She fat-shamed me,’ he also added, which was later confirmed in never-before-seen footage in February.

Busted! Sam previously claimed that Lizzie had fat-shamed him first on their wedding day, calling him 'porky' and 'tubby' - which was confirmed in never-before-seen footage in February

Sam said he’d been ‘gagged for over a year and 10 months in a contract’ with Channel Nine and Endemol Shine Australia, but was now ‘not afraid to tell all’.

On Wednesday, he promoted fans to subscribe to his OnlyFans to receive exclusive content about his life and time on MAFS.

The new season of MAFS will premiere in Australia on February 22.
