Married At First Sight star holds back tears after losing 1.3kg in less than two weeks – as she continues gruelling weight loss battle
Married At First Sight star Cathy Evans has always been candid about her desire to slim down.
And on Monday, the 27-year-old became emotional as she announced on Instagram Stories that she’d she’d successfully shed 1.3kg in less than two weeks.
Sharing a photo of herself holding back tears of joy, the reality star said she was overjoyed that her weight loss efforts were ‘finally paying off’.

‘I know scales are NOT the best and most accurate way to measure fat loos but I’m down 1.3kg since starting my shred with @bodiesbyrachel. We are on day 12,’ she captioned the photo.
‘I’m less bloated, I’m eating so much better and consciously, I’m sweating buckets during my workouts because I’m adhering to the timer on the app, I’m actively trying to hit 8-10k+ steps a day.’
She went on to explain exactly how her body is changing as a result of the weight loss.

‘I even have a flatter stomach,’ she said. No abs… yet but my gut, torso is the first place I lose fat and I can see it coming in, second my legs, then arm.’
‘My arms have always been an issue for me,’ she added.

The logistics investigator told OK! magazine at the time that her weight had crept up to 78kg before she slimmed down to 62kg.
‘I was that weight [78kg] for around nine months. So it was a lot for me,’ said Cathy. Given that she’s only 152cm tall, this would have made her overweight.
When she decided to get in shape, she initially started following a low-carb, high-fat diet known as the ketogenic diet, but now keeps the weight off with healthy eating and incidental exercise.
She has also admitted to undergoing several cosmetic procedures in the past, including lip filler, cheek filler and a breast augmentation.
