Married At First Sight star Michael Brunelli has revealed a surprising health tip for his  fans telling them to start walking. 

The 29-year-old part-time personal trainer offered the simple trick to fans saying while it wasn’t fitspo – it could make a world of difference. 

Taking to Instagram, Michael wrote: ‘Now I’m not talking about a leisurely stroll. I’m talking about a solid pace where you get a sweat on.’

Michael said a person weighing 70 kilograms walking for 30 minutes can burn up to 183 calories.  

He said while it was a great calorie burner it also improved mental health. ⁣

He continued: ‘It’s a certified stress killer, self-esteem builder, mood booster and sleep quality improver.⁣’

He went on to recommend ankle weights which will increase the calorie burn. 

‘Adding the extra resistance of ankle weights to a walk forces your body to burn more calories and to strengthen and build muscle in your legs and glutes.⁣’ 

He also recommended hand weights which can help to tone the upper body.

‘Challenge yourself each walk and you’ll be surprised at how hard you can go,’ he finished, telling his followers on Instagram.

Michael has moved from a P.E teacher to a personal trainer and influencer on Instagram. He has since created Tru Fit by Michael.    

He has created a 30-day challenge this month. He regularly pokes fun at fad diets and encourages more organic fitness challenges.

Michael promoted the challenge this month: ‘2021 is about taking back your body and your mind!’ he wrote on his website. 

This is the opportunity to make lifelong changes! Thousands of people have already achieved amazing results!’
