Marion Cotillard and Eiza Gonzalez join the cast of Apple TV+ climate change series Extrapolations

Oscar winner Marion Cotillard and Godzilla vs. Kong actress Eiza González have joined the star-studded cast of Extrapolations as art dealer Sylvie Bolo and artist-influencer Elodie, respectively.

Creator Scott Z. Burns’ eight-episode drama series – premiering next year on Apple TV+ – centers on how climate change ‘affects love, faith, work, and family on a personal and human scale.’

‘The series is currently in production,’ reported Deadline.

Burns (The Report, Pu-239) previously produced Davis Guggenheim’s 2006 global warming documentary An Inconvenient Truth.

Also added to the cast on Thursday were Oscar winner Forest Whitaker and former Spider-Man Tobey Maguire in the roles of small-time investor August Bolo and kelp farmer Nic, respectively.

González took to Instagram on Thursday to share her excitement over the environmentally-conscious show: ‘THIS story with THIS cast! Eek!’
