The routine, which he shared on Instagram, baffled his fans at the time.

It begins at 2:30am when his alarm goes off. Next, it’s a prayer session. Then the action star has breakfast at 3:15 am, his first meal of many throughout the day.

From 3:40am until 5:15am he has a serious workout session that includes weight lifting.

Mark’s millions of Instagram followers will already know about his early workouts as he often shares videos of his gym sessions under the hashtag #4amclub.

In March last year, Mark told The Los Angeles Times about changing his fitness routine to the F45 method, saying he used to spend hours in the gym when he didn’t need to.

‘A few years ago, I realised that I needed to be able to look like a normal person but perform like a professional athlete,’ Mark said.

‘From all the super-heavy bodybuilder lifting, I had injuries to my shoulders, trouble with disks in my back… something had to change. Lifting like that for years takes a big toll on you.’
