Married At First Sight’s Melissa Rawson reveals health scare

Married At First Sight’s Melissa Rawson says doctors discovered two undetermined lumps on her chest following an ultrasound – as she prepares for a needle biopsy

Married At First Sight star Melissa Rawson is in the middle of a health scare after doctors found several lumps on her breasts following an ultrasound.

In a series of Instagram videos, an emotional Melissa said that one benign lump and two unidentified lumps had been discovered, and that she’s now scheduled for a needle biopsy.

The 32-year-old said that there was ‘nothing to be concerned’ about just yet, but admitted that she was anxious about the biopsy.

‘I have a lot of anxiety and fear over medical appointments, anything poking, prodding… I just get so nervous and so worked up over absolutely nothing,’ she said.

‘I’m extremely confident that nothing will come back,’ she added.

She also thanked boyfriend Bryce Ruthven for urging her to go in and get it checked, after originally delaying the ultrasound for six months.

Meanwhile, Bryce recently revealed that he’s been diagnosed with severe anxiety.

The 31-year-old reality star shared a post to Instagram on Wednesday and revealed he’s been taking cannabis oil.

‘Over the past few months I’ve been medically diagnosed with severe anxiety,’ Bryce wrote.

‘I haven’t been in my normal routine, I have regularly struggled to sleep and have felt on edge almost everyday,’ he continued.

‘I then discovered Canna Active and their organic oil. Since I’ve started using it I felt less anxious and more relaxed to go about daily life the way I should.’

He went on to say: ‘Everyone has their own ways of dealing with anxiety, I’m sharing my personal story and can say it has genuinely worked for me!’

It comes after Melissa Rawson lashed out at female trolls for making her feel unsafe by constantly criticising her relationship with Bryce online.

Posting to Instagram Stories last month, the 32-year-old uploaded a message she’d received from a fan who felt sorry for the couple amid the constant trolling.

Melissa responded to the fan’s comment with an essay slamming people who ‘spew hate’ and ‘send DMs threatening to harm’ herself or Bryce.

‘My mental health is not okay. There are a few women who continuously drag myself/Bryce/us over and over again in their comments, posts or tags,’ she wrote.

‘They think that is entertaining and have no idea the damage it does to myself and everyone that I love or that knows Bryce or myself as an individual or as a couple.’

The Melbourne-based workplace trainer went on to say that because of these women, she feels ‘frightened every day’.

‘I fear opening my social media,’ she wrote. ‘I [ fear being] approached suddenly on the street fearing verbal abuse because of a recent post or comment made online.’

‘I should not have these fears, not when there have been so many beautiful people who send sweet messages or comments and have genuinely hugged me in the street out of sheer kindness. Enough is enough,’ she finished.
