Melissa Leong fired back at a cruel troll this week after they sent the MasterChef judge a vile racist message on Instagram.

The 39-year-old TV personality, who is of Chinese-Singaporean descent, brilliantly responded by correcting their terrible spelling and grammar before sharing the marked up note on her Instagram stories.

She said she felt compelled to hit back as she was ‘done with letting this gross racism slide’.

The horrible troll had written: ‘Melissa in MasterChef… you have a horrible habit of smelling very dish. The other chefs don’t do it. The is is Chinese pigs disgusting habit [sic].’

Melissa circled all the errors in their post and added: ‘Smell is a crucial part of tasting, let alone critical tasting.’

‘I’m done with letting this gross racism and ignorant trash slide. Be Better,’ she added.

Melissa recently spoke out after former Bachelorette Georgia Love sparked backlash for posting a video to Instagram of a cat behind the window of an Asian restaurant and writing: ‘Shop attendant or lunch?!’

She said she was ‘hurt’ after Georgia shared the ‘offensive’ video of an animal behind the window of a Melbourne dumpling house.

The food critic reacted to the video in a statement on Instagram Stories at the time about the effects of ‘casual racism’.

Melissa acknowledged that she knows Georgia personally – likely because she is a Channel 10 presenter and Georgia used to be a reporter for 10 News First – and said she hopes the journalist’s apology ‘is real’.

However the pair appeared to bury the hatchet as they stepped out and hugged one another at Melbourne Fashion Week last month.

‘There’s never been a thing, it’s just an active discussion we all have to have,’ Melissa reportedly told The Herald Sun of their exchange at the time.

Georgia also reportedly told the publication that there is no animosity between the pair and that they have been in contact following the incident.
