‘Shortest weekend EVER!’ Michelle Keegan waves goodbye to her short-lived weekend as she returns to filming Brassic on a Sunday

She recently took a much-needed beak from filming Brassic.

But Michelle Keegan has since waved goodbye to her short-lived weekend as she returned to work on Sunday.

The actress, 33, had previously celebrated the end of a long working week on Friday, but is already back to the grind as she resumed filming for the Sky One show.

Taking to her Instagram story, Michelle first shared a snap of the view of a sunrise from inside a car, captioning the post: ‘Early Sunday morning rises.’

Later on, she posed for a mirror selfie on set, wrapping up warm in a long beige-coloured coat which covered a black-coloured hoodie, while keeping safe with a face mask amid the ongoing pandemic.

‘Aaaaaaand I’m back!!!’ she wrote. ‘Shortest weekend EVER!’

On Friday, Michelle had celebrated finishing filming for the time being in another social media post.

‘That’s a wrap on what felt like the longest week!!!’ she said.

Michelle had previously used her time off to turn her attention to magic, as she impressed some of her cast and crewmates with a card trick.

The star uploaded the clip of herself performing the magic to Instagram, adding the caption: ‘Currently adding magician to my CV!’

She began: ‘So these cards have black, black, white, white,’ as she pointed out the white sides were facing in.

‘I’m gonna get the black to face inwards and the white to face outwards. So I want you to count down from three, and then say ‘go,’ instructed Michelle.

As her friend shouted ‘go’, Michelle blew on the cards and then revealed them to show the white side facing outwards.

Those watching on were audibly impressed, and Michelle herself appeared chuffed at pulling off the magic trick with ease.

The cast and crew of Brassic were all back at work following an extended break over the Christmas period.

But earlier this month, members of the cast and crew were believed to have tested positive for coronavirus. MailOnline contacted representatives for Sky One for comment at the time.

Michelle was forced to stop filming last year to self-isolate as she was exposed to COVID-19.

While she had come into contact with the virus, she had not contracted it.

A source told MailOnline: ‘Michelle had to take time away from the Brassic set once again and has been laying low in Essex with her husband Mark Wright.

‘She only missed one day of filming. But she needed to isolate after she came into contact with someone in Manchester who had it.

‘Luckily it all happened very quickly and Michelle did not return to the Brassic set before isolating. So it didn’t affect filming too much.’
