Mickey Guyton looked stunning in a cobalt blue gown while belting out the national anthem at SoFi Stadium ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl LVI.
While dazzling the crowded stadium with her incredible vocal range, the 38-year-old Black Like Me singer was accompanied by a group of backup singers clad in all-white ensembles and a pianist.
The four-time Grammy nominee was introduced onto the field as having a ‘voice of an angel’ moments before launching into The Star-Spangled Banner.

After nailing the prestigious gig, she shared a photo of herself backstage with the chorus with the caption: ‘What a dream. Thankful.’

‘There is nothing more American than the NFL getting a lineup of all women of color to sing before the game just for the cameraman to not even bother to learn the difference between Jhene Aiko and Mickey Guyton,’ one viewer vented on the social media platform.
