Miley’s concert-ready ensemble consisted of a black leather vest that was covered in circular silver studs and a pair of matching low-rise trousers.

Resting atop her bleach blonde mullet was a leather biker cap that featured that same detailing as her vest and bottoms.

Cyrus’ eyelids were packed with various shades of black and grey eyeshadow and she drew eyes to her plump pout by wearing a generous amount of orange lipstick.

As she made her way through the song, various out of this world imagery – including a clone of the singer – appeared on the green screen behind her.

She fastened a leopard print tie around her neck and slipped her slender stems into a pair of skintight pants.

Miley briefly caught up with host Jimmy Kimmel about her life in quarantine, as well as revealing the origin story behind her now infamous mullet.

Referencing the the coronavirus pandemic, Miley explained that she, like many others, has ‘had to adjust, you know, a lot of things shutting down and keeping us from doing our standard routines, which one of them was going to get a haircut for me.’

Without a salon to turn to, Miley’s mother Tish graciously offered to give her the ultimate quarantine trim.

‘So, my mom offered because my bangs were getting long and she said, “I can cut your hair and I only know how on do one hairstyle. And I have been doing it since 1992 for your dad and your brothers”

‘And all my mom can do is a mullet, so I had one option and I needed it.’

Kimmel wondered if Miley’s father Billy Ray Cyrus was ‘flattered that [she] got a cut similar to his,’ but she Miley jokingly insisted that a mullet ‘is something genetically where it grows longer on the top than in the back.’

Adding” ‘It’s a natural shape our hair grows!’

‘So in a way, you were born to have a mullet?’ to which Cyrus eagerly replied: ‘Yes, yes!’

Jimmy went on to ask the Can’t Be Tamed songstress if she has had any in-person interactions with her dad since the start of COVID-19 quarantine in March.

‘I have not and my dad, actually he had a birthday kind of in the beginning of this pandemic. This is the longest I have gone without seeing my dad,’ admitted the star.

Inspired by Jimmy’s question, Cyrus decided to discuss the hilarious birthday prank that she was unable to pull on Billy Ray because of coronavirus protocols.

‘My dad thought he would try something he has never done, going a year without pizza and for his birthday, I made him one that was completely ridiculous.

‘Like everything else I do. I try to keep it ridiculous. And I never actually got to deliver him his pizza. So now I’m stuck with it,’ she said.

‘Oh, and let’s have a look at the pizza. It looked like a pretty good pizza. It’s not really a pizza, is it?’ asked Kimmel.

‘[The pizza] was not real because my priorities was, his being able to keep it, and you know, it could be more of like something he could remember me by every time he walked by an over sized ridiculously baked pizza.

‘So he could be disappointed and he probably was in my many years of the evolution of me,’ Miley joked.

Jimmy labeled Cyrus’ birthday prank as ‘torture,’ to which she replied: ‘That’s been our dad/daughter dynamic was to see how much I could disappoint my father.

Adding that the last time she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel she ‘wore no clothes,’ so ‘the pizza is going up in the game, it’s a good thing.’

All of their talk of nudity prompted Cyrus to tell Kimmel that she recently made her very first ‘sweater’ purchase.

She explained that, even as a child, she always had a strange aversion to clothes, so when her parents would buy her sweaters she would always take them off.

‘When I was a kid, I used to strip down naked in public places and [my parents] thought I would outgrow it and I obviously didn’t,’ adding that her ‘favorite place to strip down was in church.’
