Myleene Klass speaks out after shock Dancing On Ice exit

She’s been training for months, but Sunday saw Myleene Klass falling at the first hurdle as she was eliminated from Dancing On Ice.

The star, 42, became the first celeb voted out of the ITV competition on Sunday after failing to impress the judges in the skate-off against Lady Leshurr.

Taking to Instagram Stories after the live show, Myleene and her pro partner Lukasz Rozycki brushed off their disappointment at the shock exit.

‘We just want to say thank you so much for all your support, all your messages are so lovely. ‘I’ve loved every minute of it. Love this guy. Thank you and honestly all of your messages are so incredible,’ Myleene told her fans.

She then turned to Lukasz and joked: ‘So what what are you going to do now? ‘I’m gonna go home and eat pizza. Hug my kids.’

Appearing on Lorraine the morning after her exit, Myleene explained she just wanted to make her daughters Ava, 13, and Hero, nine, proud during her short stint on DOI.

‘They’ve absolutely loved it. I’m so proud to have done this to show them, try new things,’ Myleene said of her daughters’ support.

‘Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t but have the courage to step out of your comfort zone.’

‘This sport is not for the faint hearted. To try anything new when you’re dealing with lockdown and homeschooling and work, it’s a lot to take on.’

‘I feel super proud. I look at the line-up and there’s Olympians and young players in the game. I feel really proud. I’m amazed I could skate like that. I’ve got a new skill.’

The star suffered a nasty fall ahead of her first performance, and she admitted: ‘Every morning I find new bruises. Even just getting to the ice is a miracle. Luckasz has been living away from his wife, there were times we weren’t able to train. The fact we were able to keep this show going was a miracle in its own right.’

During the interview, the star also admitted that her training and busy work schedule has meant her wedding plans with fiancé Simon Motson have been put on hold.

Myleene’s beau Simon popped the question in a romantic at-home proposal back in September and the star has admitted she thought they would have walked down the aisle by now.

‘We thought we’d be married by now,’ she told Lorraine. ‘The girls have thrown themselves into dress designs and they’re writing our vows for us.’

While there’s no wedding bells yet, the star added of her family, which also includes Simon’s two children and their shared son Apollo, one: ‘We’re blissfully happy, I feel very fortunate with my family life.’

‘It will happen when lockdown is lifted. It wouldn’t be possible to go ahead without our friends and family there. They’ve decided they are giving me away! Ava has a ball gown bigger than my gown, it’s on.’

While she no longer has to head to the ice rink every day for training. Myleene says her life is still full enough that she doesn’t think she could consider reuniting with her old band Hear’Say for their 20th anniversary.

‘I think it’s a brilliant idea. They’ve got my full support. At the minute, with  a new baby range and I’m writing a book, there’s so much on at the moment. ‘

‘I feel it might just be that one last thing that might be quite tricky to squeeze in. But we have a little HearSay whatsapp group and I’m like, go on guys.
