Olivia Rodrigo steps away from signature style in a risqué strapless gown as she arrives at the Academy Museum Of Motion Pictures opening gala in LA

She dressed herself as prom queen as part of the publicity tour for her hit album Sour.

But Olivia Rodrigo showed off one of her most stunning looks on Saturday when she walked the red carpet at Academy Museum of Motion Pictures opening Gala.

The 18-year-old pop sensation set pulses racing in a barely there off-the-shoulder dress as she joined the stars celebration the new film museum.

Olivia bared her shoulders in the sleek dress, which was conveniently fitted with pockets.

The look featured a high slit, and she matched her dress with an elegant pair of black open-toe heels that strapped around her ankles.

The Good 4 U singer kept her makeup stately but added a striking crimson lip and tied her dark hair back in a bun with wavy strands framing her face.

Her chic ensemble was a far cry from some of the prom-style dresses she’s worn in recent months for performances and at awards show, where she’s favored flashier looks and bright pastel colors.

Although Olivia has completely reinvented herself as a pop maven since releasing her debut single Drivers License earlier this year, she first rose to fame as a Disney Channel star.

She was one of the stars of the musical comedy Bizaardvark from 2016 to 2019, before she transitioned to the confusingly titled High School Music: The Musical — The Series.

Last week, the songstress put on a much more casual display as she performed at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas.

The opening gala, which was co-chaired by Selma director Ava DuVernay, TV producer Ryan Murphy, and horror film producer Jason Blum, honored legendary Italian star  Sophia Loren and Ethiopian filmmaker Haile Gerima, who has worked extensively in the US and Los Angeles.
