Independent Spirit Award-winning filmmaker Olivia Wilde is looking forward to playing a mystery role in Paramount Pictures drama Babylon.

‘So much respect for Damien Chazelle, and his wild imagination,’ the 37-year-old actress – who boasts 7.6M social media followers – gushed on Thursday.

‘This will be fun.’

The 36-year-old Oscar-winning director – who graduated from Harvard University – previously helmed the films First Man (2018), La La Land (2016), and Whiplash (2014).

Also landing acting parts were Oscar-winning screenwriter Spike Jonze and former Spider-Man Tobey Maguire, who already signed on as executive producer – according to THR.

And Australian beauty Phoebe Tonkin – last seen in Stan series Bloom – also scored a role in the flick set in late 1920s during the golden age of Hollywood.

Two-time Oscar winner Brad Pitt heads up Babylon as a silent star, reportedly based upon John Gilbert, who fails to successfully transition to ‘talkies.’

Production is said to start ‘next week’ for ‘The Great Gatsby on steroids’ – which hits select theaters on December 25, 2022 before a wider release on January 6, 2023.

The Babylon ensemble also includes Margot Robbie, her lookalike Samara Weaving, Diego Calva, Jovan Adepo, Li Jun Li, Katherine Waterston, Max Minghella, Lukas Haas, Flea, Rory Scovel, Eric Roberts, P.J. Byrne, and Damon Gupton.
