PICTURE EXCLUSIVE: Ioan Gruffudd makes his FIRST public appearance with new girlfriend Bianca Wallace as couple emerge in LA following his abrupt separation from estranged wife Alice Evans
Beleaguered actor Ioan Gruffudd made his first public appearance with new girlfriend Bianca Wallace on Saturday, almost a year after estranged wife Alice Evans confirmed their 14-year marriage is over.
The Welsh star, 48, was arm-in-arm with Bianca as they passed a Los Angeles park before calling into a local convenience store, where he was seen purchasing a lottery ticket.
Gruffudd, whose relationship with the Australian actress was confirmed in October, adhered to current health and safety guidelines by wearing a protective face covering during his latest appearance in southern Califiornia.
Stepping out: Beleaguered actor Ioan Gruffudd made his first public appearance with new girlfriend Bianca Wallace on Saturday, almost a year after estranged wife Alice Evans confirmed their 14-year marriage is over
Gruffudd’s estranged wife Alice Evans confirmed her separation from the Welsh star in a string of furious tweets posted in January, and has since documented every toxic turn in their subsequent divorce proceedings across social media.
Evans, who shares daughters Ella, 12, and Elsie, eight with the actor, is now adjusting to life on her own after he publicly confirmed a new relationship with his Harrow co-star on Instagram, a move she described as ‘every woman’s nightmare.’
Gruffudd filed for divorce in March, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason behind their split.
The document, which was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on March 1, revealed the former couple separated on New Year’s Day – a month before they went public with their relationship status.
At the time, they had shared a joint statement that read: ‘As you can imagine, this is an incredibly difficult time for our family and we remain committed to our children. Thank you for respecting our privacy.’
It was also reported the divorce papers state the exes are in a ‘collaborative process and intend to resolve all issues including spousal support by written agreement’.
