Piers Morgan shares moving fan letter from widowed GMB viewer

Piers Morgan has shared a sweet letter from a widowed Good Morning Britain viewer who says he gives her a ‘reason to get out of bed’ each day.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the broadcaster shared a snap of the letter from a lady called Linda, who was left ‘devastated’ and ‘alone’ following the loss of her husband at the end of 2019.

And after Linda claimed that Piers, 55, was a ‘shining light’ in what was the ‘worst year of my life’, the star told how ‘moved’ he was by the letter.

Captioning the photo of Linda’s message, Piers penned: ‘I got this letter at work today. I’ve no idea who Linda is, or where she is from, but it really moved me.’

The letter in question read: ‘Dear Piers, I am writing to a TV programme for the first time in my life and I am 75.

‘My husband died in December 2019 after 57 years together and I was left devastated and alone.

‘I can truthfully say that watching you these mornings on GMB gave me a reason to get out of bed. I love your hard hitting interviews and you have managed to make me smile now and again.

‘This has been the worst year of my life and you have been shining a light into my darkness. Thank you. Yours sincerely, Linda.’

The heartwarming post garnered several comments from Piers’ followers, with many also claiming they love watching the outspoken presenter on the ITV show.

Piers’ fan mail comes after he was left flustered by Pamela Anderson after she claimed vegans are better lovers.

She appeared on Good Morning Britain on Monday and left Piers blushing when she discussed her sex life as a vegan herself.

Talking about whether veganism makes you a better lover, Pamela, 53, confessed: ‘That’s what I hear. I’m vegan, I’m fairly confident in that statement.

‘Absolutely I think. But I think I’ve always had a lot of fun in that department.’

The question was sparked from a tweet by Pamela over the weekend, which read: ‘Vegans make better lovers. The cholesterol in meat, eggs and dairy causes hardening of the arteries (and not much else!)

‘It slows blood flow to all the body’s organs, not just the heart. You can improve your overall health and increase stamina in the bedroom by going vegan.

‘A healthy body is a sexy body, and eating meat ISN’T healthy. It’s been linked to heart disease, diabetes, strokes, and obesity – which are major causes of erectile dysfunction.’

She went on to tell Piers that ‘a lot of research went in to this’ given that she was part of the production team behind The Game Changers – a 2018 documentary about plant-based diets.

Piers tried to assert that, as a meat-eater, he has no problem in the bedroom, with co-anchor Susanna Reid chiming in to accuse him of being ‘sleazy’.

‘I can’t believe we’re divulging all this information on-air,’ Susanna declared.

Piers added: ‘The jury’s out Pamela. I did offer on Twitter to test this theory Pamela, but I notice you didn’t respond to my intrigue…’

‘Typical Piers!’ was Pamela’s reply.
