Dani Dyer is said to be ‘upset, worried and terrified’ after learning her boyfriend Sammy Kimmence will stand trial, weeks after she is due to give birth in January.

Sammy appeared in court back in February accused of scamming two elderly men out of £34,000 by posing as a financial investor, but his court case was adjourned due to the pandemic.

The Love Island star, 24, split from Sammy a month after his court hearing but reunited their romance shortly after and announced she was pregnant in July.

A source told The Sun: ‘Dani is upset, worried, terrified. Without a court date they kind of pushed this all to the back of their minds – now it is very real.

‘She’s expecting a child with a bloke who could go to prison. Her baby is due at the end of January and then Sammy will up in court a few weeks later.

‘Those first few weeks of having a newborn baby are so special but it will also be the countdown to his trial.’

MailOnline has contacted Dani’s representatives for comment.

Sammy’s victims, Peter Martin and Peter Haynes, were said to have been clients at a legitimate investment company where Kimmence previously worked.

Sammy, from Rayleigh, Essex, allegedly took the clients on when the business stopped operating, falsely claiming he was authorised to provide financial services.

Prosecutor Mike Mason told the court ‘special measures’ have been put in place for Kimmence’s alleged victims. A court register previously stated the men, who both live on the south coast, are potentially ‘vulnerable’.

At the 15 minute plea and trial preparation hearing, Mr Mason said: ‘We anticipate this is a three or four day trial.

‘Bearing in mind the two complainants in this case – one is 90 and one is 80 – we have asked for special measures for both of them.’

Kimmence denies carrying on a regulated activity – providing investment services – between July 2016 to December 2018 while not an authorised or exempt person.

He also denies participating in a fraudulent business, namely ‘S&S Trading Ltd’, carried on by a sole trader after he allegedly tried to defraud creditors by offering financial investment services over the same period of time.

Dani and Sammy have a long history; they dated a year before she appeared on Love Island in the summer of 2018, where she fell for fellow winner Jack Fincham.

Shortly after splitting from Jack in April 2019, she was spotted kissing Sammy in the street – much to her ex’s fury.
