Pregnant Helen Skelton has revealed that she faces the possibility of going into labour on live TV.

Helen has now jokingly told she has insisted on her favourite vet being on hand to deliver her baby in case of an emergency during filming.

She told The Mirror: ‘Both my sons were early so I certainly don’t want to be giving birth live on TV but it’s a risk I’m willing to take.

‘If you are going to be going into labour on a farm at least you know you are in safe hands. The farmers have plenty of experience delivering babies.

‘I know there’s a big difference between babies and lambs but it’s all the same principle. Although I did ask for Shona the vet to be in my rider!

‘I want her there just in case of any emergency because she will know what to do.’

Back in September Helen revealed her due date is New Years Eve as she discussed her third pregnancy on Lorraine.

The Countryfile star told how her husband is hoping she doesn’t give birth early like she did with her two previous children as he would miss Christmas

When asked by Lorraine on the show when her due date is she replied: ‘New Years Eve. The other two were early and my husband keeps saying can we not do Christmas because he missed the last one.

‘I said that’s fine you do the dinner then I’ll sit there with my feet up!’

Helen has previously revealed she gave birth to her second child on the kitchen floor in France while her husband was away for work.

Discussing whether she had spoken to her son Louis about it, she said: ‘I know god bless him. I can’t decided if he’s proud of embarrassed.

‘He says was I born in the kitchen? And I go yeah. It wasn’t what I intended. No one wants a gorgeous French fireman around their feet while they’re giving birth which is what I had.

‘They’d never done that before and were so excited I just said get back around my head please.’

Elsewhere in the interview she talked about how she was ‘independent’ during her first pregnancy but now she really ‘milks’ the extra attention she gets while she is expecting.

She explained: With the first one I was like ‘I’m independent I don’t need a chair I don’t need extra treatment’. Now, when I’m at the farm I’m rinsing it. Has anyone got a chair? Has anyone got any chocolate? It’s my last one, so I’m really milking it.’

Helen also revealed she had bene given some advice from Judy Murray, 62, – who has two sons Andy and Jamie – on how to raise boys.

She said: ‘She was like find something you can do with the boys and I never understood what she meant because my boys are boys boys they played in the rain all day Sunday and they were up a tree.

‘They’re physical, they’re obsessed with my husband because of his rugby and that’s why I started to play gold and it’s brilliant and now they say to me ‘wow mummy you can whack stuff!’ So I’ve got cool points from them.’

She also discussed filming This Week On The Farm which follows UK farms as they welcome new arrivals and navigate daily life in the agricultural industry.

She said: ‘People say never work with kids and animals but that’s all I’ve ever done! The great thing about that farm is Rob and Dave had the same childhood I had. My kids swan into the farm and go ‘oh my mummy works here we can do what we want’ and I go no you can’t!

‘But whether I’m getting spat at by an alpaca or a llama it’s family viewing, it’s a good laugh but we have a lot of tongue in cheek humor.’

Earlier this year Helen confirmed she was expecting her third child with rugby league star husband Richie in a sweet Instagram post.

She told fans she was ‘grateful’ as she debuted her baby bump in blue dungarees, while surrounded by the couple’s two sons.

In the pregnancy announcement, Helen looked radiant as she placed one hand on her blossoming baby bump alongside her two young sons.

She teamed her chic attire with platform sandals and cat eye sunglasses, and allowed her blonde locks to fall loosely around her face and shoulders.

Helen simply captioned the post with the hashtag ‘grateful’ and emojis including a baby and baby bottle emoji.

Richie, 31, also shared the post to his Instagram Stories, captioning it: ‘Ding ding Round 3.’

It came after the family had just returned from a sun-soaked getaway to Malta.
