Responding to one fan’s question about how she’s feeling in the later stages of her pregnancy, Kate initially said she was feeling good.

Alongside a stunning snap in which she showed off her bump in a black slip dress, she penned: ‘I’m surprisingly not feeling too bad the last few weeks. I’m tired but have been feeling much better.’

However, she then disclosed her injury which occurred weeks earlier as she continued: ‘I tore my stomach muscles 6 or so weeks ago and was on rest for 3 weeks. I found that really difficult… and my mind was all over the place!’

She added: ‘So now I’m just happy and grateful I can be out and walking and doing bits and bobs around the house.’

During the Q&A, the beauty also told how she’s continuing to keep active during her pregnancy, though she’s had to take it easy after tearing her stomach muscle.

Alongside another image of her growing baby bump, she explained: ‘I have trained for the majority of my pregnancy: Pilates and light gym work.

‘But after tearing my muscles I was advised to rest so I did that for 3 weeks and am now just taking it easy & walking daily as I don’t want to damage anything further.

‘It is advised to stay active so I’m trying to keep moving as much as possible.’

Kate also gave an insight into being a step-mother to Rio’s children Lorenz, 14, Tate, 12 and Tia, nine, whose mother Rebecca Ellison died in 2015 following a battle with breast cancer.

Showing his approval for the gorgeous photograph, Rio commented beneath: ‘Hot mama!’ with a red heart emoji.

It comes after Kate was pictured heading out for a family dinner with Rio and his three children as they marked the 40th birthday of his late wife Rebecca Ellison.

The star was seen embracing Rebecca’s parents Lesley and Stephen as they stepped out in Southend, with sources claiming Kate was ‘determined to attend’ despite being heavily pregnant.

Rio’s first wife Rebecca died of breast cancer in 2015, and Kate has become a stepmother to his three children Lorenz, Tate, and Tia.

In pictures obtained by The Sun, Kate, who is due to welcome a son with husband Rio this month, joined Rebecca’s parents for the family meal.

Sources claimed the star was determined to mark the occasion despite being weeks away from giving birth.

The source said: ‘Kate was determined to attend the gathering despite being heavily pregnant and not finding it easy.

‘Rebecca would have celebrated her 40th birthday and Kate was on hand to mark the occasion.

‘It meant everything to Kate that she could show the Ellisons how much she cares by joining in the stroll and meal out.’

MailOnline contacted representatives for Kate at the time for comment.
