Zegler, who plays Maria in Steven Spielberg’s upcoming musical West Side Story, at one point also appears to be taken hostage as she calls out for help.

In the behind-the-scenes look, Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu, who portrays Greek god Atlas’ daughters Hespera and Kalypso, are seen fighting.

The movie also brought things full circle, in a way, for Adam Brody and DJ Cotrona, who were supposed to play The Flash and Superman, respectively, in George Miller’s Justice League Mortal, which had a full cast in place but never got off the ground.

Shazam follows 14 year old Billy Batson (Asher Angel) who turns into the adult superhero Shazam (Zachary Levi) simply by saying his name.

Batson lives with a foster family that includes his best friend Freddy Freeman (Jack Dylan Grazer), Mary (Grace Fulton), Pedro (Jovan Armand), Eugene (Ian Chen) and Darla (Faithe Herman).

One of the reasons the studio wanted to make a sequel so quickly is because the kids won’t be kids for much longer.

'The only other thing I know is they want to make it as soon as possible because those kids are growing up like weeds, so if we don't do that in like the next two days, they're gonna be full grown adults,' Levi joked

Levi said that they did additional reshoots for the film six months after principal photography wrapped, and even in that time, the kids had grown so much.

‘We did principal photography, meaning the bulk of the filming on Shazam!, we did that over the course of four months or so in Toronto, Canada,’ Levi said.

'So if we don¿t shoot another movie real quick, then they¿re just gonna be men. There¿s no point in saying Shazam to transform, they¿re already transformed!' he said

‘Then we had about a six-month break, we came back to do additional photography … In the six months from when we stopped principal photography to when we started additional photography, Jack and Asher quite literally grew so much that they couldn’t match their faces with what they looked like six months prior.’

‘So that’s all I can tell you about the sequel, but I’m very excited to get into it, making it, and I hope you all enjoy it when we do,’ she added.
