Rebecca Judd, 37, is left mortified after getting ID’d at the bottle shop

Rebecca Judd, 37, is left MORTIFIED after a bottle shop worker asked to see her ID… before realising it wasn’t because of her perfectly youthful features

Rebecca Judd was recently asked to show her ID at a Melbourne bottle shop, despite being almost two decades older than the legal drinking age.

The mother of four, 37, revealed that being carded was ‘the highlight of 2020’ – but her happiness soon faded when she realised it wasn’t actually a compliment.

She explained on Monday’s 3pm Pick-Up that the clerk had actually asked to see her driver’s licence because her spotty skin made her look like a hormonal teenager.

Rebecca began: ‘I had a mask on and it was covering the bottom of my face, right?

‘So I walk in and I say, “Can I have some whisky, please?” and I go to pay for it, and the guy’s like, “I’m going to need to see some ID, please.”‘

Her co-host Katie ‘Monty’ Dimond shrieked: ‘Are you joking? You got carded?’

‘I got carded!’ Rebecca said. ‘It was the best thing that’s happened to me in 2020. Literally the highlight of my year. I’m 37. He was wondering whether I was 18!’

Rebecca, who is married to AFL great Chris Judd, admitted she was quite flustered by the request, but produced her licence and proudly told the man behind the counter: ‘Thirty-seven years young!’

She continued: ‘And he goes, “Oh, you’re doing alright, then.” He was a little bit embarrassed.’

Of course, Rebecca had assumed the clerk had asked to see her ID because he saw her youthful, wrinkle-free complexion and believed she was a minor.

But this wasn’t actually the case.

Upon returning to her car, Rebecca glanced at her reflection in the rear-view mirror and realised that her forehead was covered with pimples.

At that moment, it dawned on her that the clerk must have thought she was a teenager because of her acne, not because she looked so pristine and youthful.

‘Guess what I saw? A full acne breakout across my forehead!,’ she said.

‘So he saw the pimples and he’s like, “Oh, obviously a teenager.” He didn’t see a youthful glow – he saw pimples!’

Time to say goodbye: This week marks Rebecca's last as a host of KIIS FM's 3pm Pick-Up. She is scaling back on her media duties in 2021 and focusing on her family and business interests
