RHONY insider says ‘a cast shakeup’ is on the way but ”Ramona Singer ain’t going anywhere’

A Real Housewives of New York insider exclusively tells DailyMail.com that a ‘cast shakeup’ is coming down the pike for the ladies of the Big Apple but Ramona Singer will be staying put.

Chatter has circulated on social media recently that the 64-year-old RHONY vet wouldn’t be asked back for season 14 and a recent report claimed her salary had gotten too high for the network – but a source says that is not the case.

‘Ramona Singer ain’t going anywhere,’ the network insider revealed. ‘This story is complete rubbish.’

Changes: A Real Housewives of New York insider exclusively tells DailyMail.com that a ‘cast shakeup’ is coming down the pike for the ladies of the Big Apple but Ramona Singer will be staying put

‘We do not make casting decisions this early in the year, we decide after the reunion episodes have aired,’ the source said. ‘The production company Shed and the network Bravo really take into account what the fans say online and how they respond to the cast.’

‘One Housewife in particular has it out for Ramona and she wants her off the show. This Housewife is leaking to news organizations that Ramona is fired in an attempt to push the network to get rid of her,’ they continued.

Adding: ‘Over the coming weeks until the reunion is filmed there will be “anti-Ramona” stories leaked everywhere as this Housewife attempts to push her off the show.

‘The only problem is, Housewives fans who have stuck with the show this season, know what the problem is, and this year it isn’t Ramona Singer.’

Staying put: Chatter has circulated on social media recently that the 64-year-old RHONY vet wouldn’t be asked back for season 14 and a recent report claimed her salary had gotten too high for the network – but a source says that is not the case

A RadarOnline article claimed this week that Ramona was ‘too expensive’ for Bravo to keep on as she’s been a main cast member since day one. Additionally, the outlet reported that Singer’s ‘behavior isn’t great TV anymore’.

However, a well placed source tells DailyMail.com that while some cast members should be prepared to get the boot from the show, Ramona is simply not one of them.

‘Ramona also isn’t the cast member that should be worried,’ they said. ‘There is one cast member who producers have found particularly problematic as what viewers are seeing on television isn’t real.’

‘Ramona has been the backbone of the show this season and she’s been a key part of the series since day one. Love her or hate her, she makes great reality television,’ they added.

Dorinda Medley and Tinsley Mortimer were gone from this latest season and the franchise’s first black Housewife, Eboni K. Williams, was added to the cast.

Ramona and Eboni have had their ups and downs and in the most recent episode got into a heated argument during a Halloween party thrown by co-star Leah McSweeney.

Prior to that, the lawyer accused Ramona of ‘gaslighting’ and claimed she was hiding behind her ‘white fragility’, prompting Singer to threaten to leave her own party.

Whether it is good or bad, Ramona doesn’t hold anything back from the cameras and, according to a source, it’s that openness that leaves her indispensable from the series.

'We've seen her raise her daughter, re-marry Mario, deal with his infidelity, get divorced and then hunt for a new man,' the source said. She opens up her home and her life with transparency. That can't be said about other members of the cast.' (Pictured season three with Jill Zarin)

They added: ‘Just like OC you can expect a cast shake up though. This show can be saved. Look at how great Beverly Hills is now.’

Season 15 of Real Housewives of Orange county wrapped up in January and there has already been a big cast overhaul for season 16, which is currently filming.

Kelly Dodd, Elizabeth Lyn Vargas and Braunwyn Windham-Burke all got the boot, newbies Noella Bergener and Nicole James are joining the show and RHOC veteran Heather Dubrow returned.

Meanwhile, season 13 of RHONY is currently airing Tuesday nights on Bravo.
