Robbie Williams mimics Boris Johnson in a blond wig in Can’t Stop Christmas video

Robbie Williams poked fun at Prime Minister Boris Johnson‘s chaotic COVID-19 public addresses on Monday as he offered fans some festive cheer with his own Christmas message.

The singer, 46, reminded fans the COVID-19 pandemic won’t prevent any festive cheer in the video for his single Can’t Stop Christmas, which saw him also don a blond wig and suit to mimic the politician.

Robbie also poked fun at all the disastrous things the nation has faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, including endless Zoom calls, social distancing and the never-ending struggle to buy toilet roll.

The video saw the hitmaker nestled in his living room singing to the nation that they could still enjoy Christmas despite all the government restrictions.

At one point he glanced up at the TV to see the ‘Prime Minister’ speaking to the nation in one of the government’s daily press briefings, which have become a fixture during the pandemic.

The album also gave Robbie his 13th Number 1 solo album last December, meaning he reached the amazing feat of equalling Elvis Presley’s chart record as the solo artist with the most UK Number 1 albums

Robbie’s single was released just days before this year’s Christmas Number One is announced, with contenders including Gemma Collins and her festive single Baby It’s Cold Outside.

But despite his own bid to top the festive charts, Robbie previously revealed he’s a fan of Gemma’s and even made a cameo in her reality TV series Diva At Xmas.
