Rumours Jackie O Henderson has been cast on Celebrity MasterChef

Jackie O Henderson has pre-emptively addressed rumours she is set to star on the new season of Celebrity MasterChef.

Minutes after Channel Ten announced the 2009 format would be making a return, the 46-year-old recalled being approached for producers for the original series.

‘I’m sure they’ve done a Celebrity MasterChef before… Unless they just asked me and it never eventuated?’ she told her Kyle and Jackie O Show co-host Kyle Sandilands on Tuesday.

Not a good idea: Jackie O Henderson pre-emptively addressed rumours she is set to star on the new season of Celebrity MasterChef on Tuesday. In short: it would not be a good idea

The mother-of-one didn’t rule herself out for the upcoming second season, scheduled to air later this year, but admitted it would be a struggle.

”I would be terrible on that show. Every time I watch it I think “God. I wouldn’t know what to do with those ingredients.”

‘Because sometimes they really throw you a curve ball – you’ve just got a box of things that don’t even make sense. And they always cook these incredible meals.

Kyle agreed Jackie would be an awful contestant, noting that the only thing she can cook well is scrambled eggs.

‘I’d just put it all in the saucepan, turn the heat on and see what happens,’ he said of his own culinary skills.

Jackie laughed and said she’d just ‘bring them sludge, every time!’

‘This is jail food, enjoy!’ replied Kyle.

What about me? He wouldn't fare much better, he conceded: 'I'd just put it all in the saucepan, turn the heat on and see what happens. 'This is jail food, enjoy!'

The report claimed Network 10 had ‘secretly commissioned’ another season of Celebrity MasterChef last month, with the series set to air at the end of the year.

The show is currently in the casting stages of production, with filming set to begin in just a few weeks.

Casting producers are also reportedly chasing sports stars, local politicians and Hollywood actors currently based in Australia.

Celebrity MasterChef last aired on Network 10 back in 2009, and featured the likes of Michelle Bridges, Rachael Finch, Josh Thomas, Kirk Pengilly, Alex Perry, and winner Eamon Sullivan.

Rumours first emerged in April that 10 was planning on reviving the series, with New Idea reporting that the show had received ‘the go-ahead’.

According to New Idea, MasterChef judges Andy Allen, Melissa Leong and Jock Zonfrillo would still front the Celebrity version.
