Samantha Armytage has been enjoying life away from Sunrise for the past few months.

And on Wednesday, she revealed she cut her own hair amid Greater Sydney’s Covid lockdown.

The 44-year-old, who would likely usually seek a hair stylist for her luscious mane, shared a selfie on her Instagram Story while her husband watched a rugby game.

Sam Armytage was loving herself sick on Wednesday: ‘I’m taking selfies on the couch and admiring my new haircut that I DID MYSELF this morning,’ she wrote alongside the above image shared to Instagram

She proudly beamed in the photo, showing off her trimmed down locks.

‘I’m taking selfies on the couch and admiring my new haircut that I DID MYSELF this morning,’ she wrote in the caption.

‘It’s quite even… Sort of,’ the blonde beauty joked of her hair cut.

Samantha also shared a photo of her husband Richard Lavender watching the rugby union game between the Wallabies and France.

‘He’s allow to watch the Wallabies… as long as he PROMISES NOT TO YELL AT THE TV,’ she wrote.

The Lavender’s fun-filled evening comes after New Idea suggested the former Sunrise host is a frontrunner to compete on the next season of Dancing With The Stars. 

A production source told the magazine Sam had made the producers’ ‘shortlist’ and that she would be ‘ratings gold’ for the program.

Sam’s potential return to TV comes after she stepped down as the co-host of breakfast show Sunrise in March, after eight years in order to spend more time with her family. 

Her departure from TV followed her intimate wedding to millionaire businessman Richard on New Year’s Eve. 

The quaint ceremony was held at his Southern Highlands home and was attended by a small number of guests due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
