Millionaire? Don’t let Sunrise host Sam Armytage hear you call her husband Richard Lavender a ‘millionaire businessman’. Speaking on her podcast Something to Talk About this week, the breakfast TV host, 44, dismissed the way Richard’s wealth had been described in the press

‘They keep calling Rich a “millionaire businessman”,’ she said, seemingly puzzled by the description.

‘And he’s like, “Where did that come from? I’m going to have a problem with the ATO!”‘ she added.

Sam’s comment was likely just a reflection of her prickly relationship with the tabloids, rather than her denying Richard is a millionaire.

Richard is a stakeholder of Lavender Equestrian, which offers a variety of services for horses in the region, including breeding and training.

According to property records, his 40-hectare farm in Berrima cost $1.95million when he bought it in 2007.

Sam, who reportedly earns $500,000 a year, is likely worth at least a million herself.
