Former Emmerdale star and self-proclaimed witch Samantha Giles claimed she turned to spells and crystals to help her love life before marrying her husband.
The actress, known for playing Bernice Blackstock, said she used Pagan witchcraft to help her after a ‘disastrous’ relationship, hoping to find her perfect partner.

And her magic appeared to do the trick – meeting her now husband Sean Pritchard, a production manager.
The pair married in 2010 and have two children together – Evelyn, 13, and Olivia, nine.
Samantha has often spoken openly about her witchcraft. In 2019, she claimed she used magic to help This Morning’s soap expert Sharon Marshall fall pregnant.
She claimed that it was a ‘change of luck charm’ that helped Sharon, 48, conceive – after she underwent seven rounds of IVF costing £70,000 before becoming pregnant with daughter Betsey.

The star appeared on This Morning where she opened up about her Wiccan faith, insisting she’s ‘always’ been interested in witchcraft.
She went on to explain that there’s no such thing as a ‘bad witch’ in her faith, and that she only practices positive spells.
Samantha explained: ‘There’s no such thing as black or white witch. Basically in Wicca you’re harnessing nature to ask for the things you want.
‘If you try to do a bad spell or have bad intentions, it comes back on you threefold.’
‘I’ve always been interested really. It’s what inspired me in a way to write my first book – it’s all about witches and magic.’
Samantha’s words come just days after she revealed she worked as a nude life model for £5 per hour after struggling financially in her younger years.

In a new interview, Samantha opened up about her past job, recalling how she was ‘really desperate for money’, but was quick to insist that she’s ‘not ashamed’ of what she did.
Samantha detailed how she got the job when she was in her 20s as she detailed how things were so difficult financially that at times she couldn’t to eat.
She explained to The Mirror: ‘I was really desperate for money. I’m not ashamed of it, I wasn’t doing anything terrible. It paid £5 an hour, which is nothing, but I’d get £15 for an evening, which seemed quite good.
‘I did it at a college in North London which had a lot of young people, which was a bit daunting. I was only 23, but I’ve never liked my body, so the only way I found I could do it was by not looking down at myself when I dropped the sarong. I never looked at their work either.’
The TV star recalled how she had to stand or sit and hold her pose for an hour, telling how once particular session left her ‘uncomfortable’ as she stood with her back to the artists and had to ‘stick my bottom out’ – adding it was a feature she ‘hated’.
