Sarah Michelle Gellar is not letting a holiday stop her workout plans.
The 43-year-old actress was spotted leaving the Plate Fit gym near her home in Los Angeles on Thursday morning.
The Scooby-Doo star was seen wearing a black crewneck sweater with the words ‘be a new icon’ emblazoned across its front; she also wore a pair of dark grey leggings and Nike athletic shoes.

The actress accessorized with a large leather bag to carry her belongings and a set of aviator sunglasses.
To keep herself safe against the recent uptick in COVID-19 cases, the actress wore a white facial mask as she walked to her car.
Gellar kept her normally flowing blonde hair tied back in a bun for the duration of her workout.
The actress is best known for starring in the title role on the supernatural drama series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which aired from 1997 until 2003.

Based off of a 1992 film starring Kristy Swanson, the Joss Whedon-created series was a major success during its run and resulted in a spinoff, a number of novels and comic books, and various fan productions.
In July of 2018, 20th Television announced that they would be developing a Buffy continuation series, with Whedon returning as an executive producer and Monica Owusu-Breen serving as showrunner.
Many fans of the original series were disappointed to learn that Gellar’s role was apparently set to be recast by another actress.
However, Owusu-Breen later clarified what was the development team was planning for the series and noted that the role would not be recast, rather a new character would be introduced to the series.

The new showrunner stated about Gellar’s role as Buffy: ‘[it] can’t be replicated…I wouldn’t try to.’
She did add that ‘The world seems a lot scarier. So maybe, it could be time to meet a new Slayer.’
While Gellar may not be returning for the reboot, other actors have expressed interest in revisiting their old roles, including Anthony Head, who portrayed librarian Rupert Giles in the original show.
