‘She hasn’t got a clue’: Shane Richie’s son hits out at Linda Robson after she admitted she already finds the actor ‘annoying’ on I’m A Celebrity

Shane Nolan was left unimpressed when Linda Robson admitted she is already finding his father Shane Richie ‘annoying’ on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The former EastEnders actor, 56, is among this year’s crop of stars taking part in the first series of the show to take place in the UK.

Speaking on Monday’s episode of Loose Women, Linda, 62, told how she thinks Shane is ‘trying to be’ a comedian.

Jibe: Shane Nolan was left unimpressed when Linda Robson admitted she is already finding his father Shane Richie ‘annoying’ on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

She said: ‘I think there’s a couple of people that are gonna be a little bit annoying, like Shane Richie. I mean, he’s not a comedian but he’s just trying to be.

‘He’s just being a little bit annoying, he’s been voted for the first trial so a lot of people are seeing that.

‘It just takes you a little while to get used to the campmates.’

However, Shane Jr, 28, who is the son of Linda’s Loose Women co-host Coleen Nolan, quickly took to social media to respond to her remarks.

In another tweet, Shane admitted it’s ‘unreal’ to watch his father taking part on his favourite TV show.

He wrote: ‘Honestly it’s so weird watching a relative on telly most of the time anyway but watching my dad on one of my favourite shows is unreal. Terrifying as well. I like everyone in it so far’.

It comes after it was revealed Shane and BBC Radio DJ Jordan North will be the first stars to take part in the gruelling trials on Monday’s show.

The contestants will sleep on rusty old beds, covered by a newly installed plastic roof, with only the campfire located inside the adjoining living quarters providing any heat.

ITV announced an extreme COVID Management Plan to ensure the series runs smoothly, including the celebrities being tested every three days and crew members wearing proximity buzzers, wear masks and get temperature checks on arrival.

The celebrities had been isolating for two weeks ahead of their arrival.
