He is the latest star to tease an appearance in the new HBO series, Batgirl.

And Spencer Wilding was spotted arriving on the Glasgow set in a black 4×4 on Thursday afternoon ahead of filming for an explosion scene.

The Darth Vader actor, who towers over his co-stars at 6ft 7inches, could be seen tucking a prop gun into his belt as he got into character on set.

Spencer’s character – who is currently unknown – was dressed all in black, wearing a turtle neck and shearling jacket with lace-up boots.

He was joined by a male co-star as the duo got out of the vehicle and onto the street, which has been dressed to resemble Gotham City. 

The former kick boxer was seen performing a scene where he appears to be dressed as a gangster, arriving at Bressi night-club on the set of the new series.

Welsh actor Spencer was cast as iconic villain Darth Vader in the Star Wars spin-off, Rogue One, and it appears he is once again set to take on a wicked role.

Also spotted on the set was new co-star Jacob, 29, who has been cast in an undisclosed role.   

Jacob, who starred in Bad Boys For Life, was wearing a grey suit with a black shirt, which he teamed with a printed red decorative tie.

He wore a black coat with a fur trim over his shoulders and sported a gold watch. 

Jacon could be seen chatting to a member of the crew, who appeared to be giving him direction for the cameras rolled.

The actor has previously been spotted on set with lead actress Leslie Grace, who will play Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl. 

The Batgirl movie will follow Barbara, the daughter of Gotham Police Commissioner James Gordon, played by J.K. Simmons, reprising his role from Justice League.

Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah (Bad Boys For Life) are directing Batgirl from a script by Christina Hodson (Birds of Prey).

The film doesn’t currently have a release date at this time.

But it is expected to debut on the new streaming service and forego a theatrical release.
