‘Do you ever feel like you’ve left something in the oven for too long?’ Strictly’s Dan Walker compares himself to Ross from Friends after a hilarious tanning mishap

Strictly Come Dancing‘s Dan Walker joked his tanned appearance was akin to Ross Gellar from Friends after he suffered a hilarious mishap.

The BBC Breakfast presenter, 44, took to Twitter to share his embarrassment, writing: ‘Do you ever get the feeling that you’ve left something in the oven too long? #RossFromFriends #IHopeItWashesOff #Tantastic’.

Quickly, the comments flooded in from fellow social media users – one who joked: ‘You might need to borrow Rylan’s teeth to make this look work!’

The star looked dumbfounded by his own reflection after being left a particularly bright shade of orange while he posed in a black Nike top.

More Twitter users took to the platform to joke along with the journalist, with one writing: ‘Where did you go? Was that place…the sun?’ along with a GIF of Chandler Bing from the sitcom.

‘Too many Mississippi’s?!’, another user wrote – signalling the moment Ross misjudged the spray tanned booth by counting in ‘Mississippi’s’ which meant he was double sprayed.

Permanently-tanned: Another wrote: 'You'll be doing an antiques auction show next!', referring to veteran host David Dickinson

More users compared Dan to the likes of tanned characters like Sean Tully from Coronation Street, Rodney Trotter from Only Fools And Horses and that his skin tone even resembled an Oompa Loompa from Charlie And The Chocolate Factory.

One of Dan’s followers advised the ballroom star to ‘take a step away from the tanning area and put down the teeth whitening products’, while another joked that he looked ‘scary’.

His hilarious photo upload comes as Dan and his professional dance partner Nadiya Bychkova prepare to dance the Viennese Waltz on Saturday night’s show.

The presenter recently revealed that he is dedicating his ‘beautiful’ Strictly Come Dancing routine to his wife Sarah to the song She’s Always A Woman by Billy Joel.

Last week, Nadiya and Dan looked in high spirits after they took to the Strictly dance floor last Saturday with an upbeat Cha Cha.

The pair were hoping to impress the judges with their energetic routine to a mash-up of U Can’t Touch This/Superfreak by MC Hammer/Rick James.

Shirley Ballas told the BBC star that his performance was ‘highly entertaining’, adding: ‘this week you look like you believe in yourself more.’

While Craig had a somewhat more sarcastic comment as he quipped; ‘you’re committed, but maybe you should be!’

But he did like the dance deep down as he then noted: ‘The acting, rhythm and performance alone was worth the 1.30 minutes darling!’
