Strictly’s Jamie Laing joins stylish pro Karen Hauer for dance rehearsals in London

He nearly dropped the professional twice on Saturday’s show.

And Jamie Laing looked dapper as he joined  pro Karen Hauer for Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals in London on Wednesday.

The Made In Chelsea star, 32, looked dapper in a longline grey coat teamed with a black T-shirt and jogging bottoms.

Adding some stylish touches, Jamie opted for a red baseball cap, white trainers and a Louis Vuitton travel bag.

Elsewhere his pro Karen, 38, looked glamorous in black leggings, a denim short and a longline fitted jacket.

Adding some finishing touches, the dancer opted for high heel biker boots as she stepped out in London.

The dancing duo made sure they took cautious measures amid the coronavirus pandemic and wore face masks while travelling via car.

Jamie and Karen weren’t the only two rehearsing with JJ Chalmers and pro Amy Dowden also spotted practising.

Ex Royal Marine JJ, 33, wore a pair of British Armed Forces tracksuit bottoms with a Help for Heroes charity hoodie.

Amy, 30, looked stylish in a leopard print wrap dress with black fringed detailing which she teamed with black leggings and suede heeled biker boots.

The dancer wrapped up warmly against the autumnal chill with a black faux fur jacket and a crossover bag.

The dancing duo, who finished third on the leaderboard after Saturday’s show, also wore protective face masks amid the coronavirus crisis.

Jamie and Karen’s appearance comes after he left fans in hysterics after nearly dropping the pro twice on the most recent episode.

The Made In Chelsea star was elated to receive such positive comments after narrowly swerving elimination last week, as he performed a Charleston to the song Zero to Hero from Disney’s Hercules.

Jamie’s final lift in the dance took some manoeuvring as he struggled to put Karen down, and then following their solid score he came dangerously close to dropping her again after lifting her up in celebration.

Dressed in their zany Greek-inspired costumes, Jamie and Karen delivered a surprisingly strong performance.

The dance ended with Jamie lifting Karen into the air, and he came close to losing his grip as he put her back down, leaving the pair in hysterical laughter.

Regardless the judges were full of praise as they lauded Jamie for coming back strong after being in the dance-off last week.

Motsi Mabuse said: ‘What a comeback that was really funny in a good way it was entertaining, you’ve got the character on point, I mean you were light on your feet and then in the middle it just went over.

Shirley Ballas added: ‘From bottom two last week, I only ever hope for a little bit of improvement and you come back with a massive improvement! From zero to hero!’

Jamie and Karen headed up to the balcony to receive their score, which ended up being 23 points out of 30.

Clearly thrilled the star lifted his partner into the air, but didn’t seem to maintain Hercules’ endless strength as he nearly lost his grip on Karen has he put her.

The scenes left many viewers in hysterics, with some praising Jamie for bringing some light humour to a month when the nation is in lockdown.

Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday at 7:10pm on BBC One.
