Sunrise anchor David ‘Kochie’ Koch is known for his cringeworthy dad jokes.

And the 65-year-old raised eyebrows on Thursday when he quipped about making ‘private videos’ with his wife-of-43-years Libby.

He made the remark during a segment about cyber security and hacking.

Racy: Sunrise anchor David ‘Kochie’ Koch (right, with co-host Natalie Barr) raised eyebrows on Thursday when he quipped about making ‘private videos’ with his wife-of-43-years Libby

‘I’m getting a text at the moment saying, “We are uploading your private videos,”‘ Kochie said, pretending he was the victim of a scam.

His co-hosts joked that no one would want to watch his ‘private videos’ anyway so they would hardly be good material for a blackmail attempt.

Kochie replied that he and Libby had once tried to film a YouTube video but it ‘only had one click and that was Lib and I’.

‘You didn’t even go back to watch it twice!’ newsreader Edwina Bartholomew said.

Kochie is known for his cheeky sense of humour and has made a number of racy on-air jokes in the past.

In April 2020, he made a ‘disgusting’ sex joke during a segment about how to get a good night’s sleep during the Covid pandemic.

Things started innocently enough when his former co-host Sam Armytage asked her colleague how he likes to ‘unwind’ in the evening.

‘Oh, read a book!’ he said.

Sam chuckled and asked again: ‘How do you really unwind?’

There was a long pause before Kochie replied: ‘I say, “Lib!’ No…”‘

Without going into the finer details of the joke, he was implying that he calls his wife Libby into the bedroom to help him ‘unwind’.

After a stunned silence, the studio burst into laughter and Natalie Barr said abruptly: ‘Okay, I’m going.’

David shares four adult children with wife Libby.

The couple met when they were just kids and have been together ever since.

‘Lib was a 20-year-old nurse. Our friend Judy decided to have a party, and that’s where we met back in 1977,’ Kochie told New Idea magazine in June.
