A Taylor Swift fan who allegedly vandalized the front of the popstar’s apartment and crashing his car near her building was seen being smiling and waving after being released from court on Friday.
Morgan Mank, 31, from Virginia, was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court after he was arrested for allegedly driving down the wrong way on Franklin Street in Tribeca before going in reverse and hitting a fire hydrant near the star’s building.
He also reportedly attempted to remove the intercom off the wall located next to the front door of the building and tried to get inside, telling officers he wouldn’t leave until he met Swift.
He walked out of court on Friday wearing a medical boot on his right foot and proceed to wave and smile at cameras. It’s unclear why he was wearing a boot or if he was injured in the accident.
The fan had been placed under arrest after a 911 call was placed to the NYPD at around 3 a.m. on Thursday.
‘I am here to see Taylor Swift. If she would just be an adult and open the door the police wouldn’t have to come,’ he allegedly said.
It is unknown if Swift was at her apartment at the time of the incident.
Mank was taken to a hospital for an evaluation and was later arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated and driving with ability impaired. He was let go under supervised release on Friday and was issued an order of protection.

Mank hails from a town called Ashburn – roughly 250 miles from New York City – where neighbors reported that the Swiftie mostly keep to himself.
‘It’s like scary for her (Swift) and it’s funny to hear, because, of course, Ashburn is on the map for something so terrible,’ his neighbor Oriana Molland told WUSA9. ‘I was like, there’s no way!’
He also worked at a recycling warehouse in nearby Berryville, where it was reported he was seen on Tuesday.
On that day, he also tagged Swift a tweet saying ‘Wish you all the best. Cya @taylorswift13.’
He later reportedly tweeted ‘If I could make one suggestion, you should get your s**t together because you are in fact, insane,’ but later told the HR department it was over issues he was having with his landlord.
‘I must say that is unbelievable. Morgan only worked for us for the past three weeks in our warehouse. He has been out the past few days. Well… I guess we know why. I can’t even fathom it,’ his company responded in a statement.

This is not the first time Swift has been targeted by an unwanted guest.
Over the summer, the songstress dealt with a stalking scare after a man was arrested for trying to enter her NYC apartment.
Patrick Nissen, 28, entered the vestibule of Swift’s apartment building before police were called to the scene, TMZ reported.
‘I was doing what felt comfortable,’ Nissen told the New York Daily News as he left Manhattan Criminal Court.
The Daily News asked Nissen about his fascination with the Love Story singer and he replied: ‘What, you don’t know about her?’
‘I love her,’ Nissen told the outlet.
Luckily, the pop superstar wasn’t in her apartment when Nissen entered the building, law enforcement sources told TMZ.
Nissen was initially charged with criminal trespassing but pleaded guilty to a violation of disorderly conduct and was sentenced to community service.
Swift has been targeted by a number of unwanted male guests over the course of the past few years
In April 2021, a 52-year-old man named Hanks Johnson was arrested after trying to force his way into Taylor’s Tribeca apartment building, according to the New York Daily News.
It was part of a pattern with the man, who reportedly had shown up to her apartment building at least five times in the the six months leading up to that incident.
In 2018, Page Six reported that Roger Alvarado, a 22-year-old man from Florida, had tried to break into her townhouse.
Police sources said at the time that he had managed to enter after using a ladder to climb up to a window and breaking it.
While in her home he reportedly took a shower and then went to sleep in one of her beds.
Several other men have also been arrested for stalking the singer and trespassing in recent years.
