Terrifying moment group of dirt bikers drag man, 64, and his adult son out of car and beat them
Terrifying security footage released by New York City Police Department Wednesday shows the moment a gang of dirt bikers beat down a 64-year-old motorist and his son in West Harlem.
Police say the attack occurred after the man accidentally hit one of the bikers at a Harlem intersection after the group had run a red light.
The clip, captured at the corner of West 127th Street near St. Nicholas Terrace Tuesday, shows the crew of at least three bikers and one ATV rider ripping the driver from the parked vehicle, before throwing him to the street.
The men proceed to kick and pummel the man, whose identity is currently being withheld by police, as well as his also unidentified adult son, 36, who was in the car’s passenger seat, police said.
The assault comes as crime in the Big Apple continues to skyrocket – with recent NYPD statistics showing a 45 percent increase citywide compared to this time last year.
Robberies are also up 43.5 percent and assault up by 17.2 percent.

The attack took place in broad daylight Tuesday, just before 4:30 pm.
After beating the victims into submission, the suspects fled the scene, cops said, headed west on their bikes on West 127th street.
According to the department, the suspects swiped a cellphone, credit and debit cards, driver’s licenses and about $150 before fleeing, sources said.
They are still at large.
The suspects, whose bikes did not have license plates and were not street legal, launched their attack after the driver allegedly struck one of their crew after the band ran a red light at Frederick Douglass Boulevard and West 127th just before the assault, The New York Post reported.

After the crash, the shaken driver fled the scene on West 127th, until the gang cut him and his son off two blocks later at St. Nicholas Terrace, law enforcement sources told the outlet.
Surveillance footage released by the NYPD then shows four of the bikers surrounding the car before dragging the driver to the street before repeatedly punching kicking him. The footage then shows the two other suspects running to join in after several blows were already landed.
The driver’s adult son, who was also not identified, was similarly dragged out of the vehicle and beaten, the NYPD said Wednesday.
Both victims suffered only minor injuries from the attack, the department said, and were taken to nearby St. Luke’s Hospital in stable condition.

Police released the footage Wednesday in hopes that anyone with information about the suspects could shed light on their identities.
The assault comes as crime in the Big Apple continues to skyrocket, caused by what experts say is a one-two punch of lax criminal justice reforms and lingering pandemic-era economic woes.
A number of high-profile violent crimes have horrified residents, including one recent incident in which a 60-year-old man stabbed two employees at New York City’s Museum of Modern Art after they refused him entry.
The suspect, 60-year-old Gary Cabana, was arrested in Philadelphia after he was found sleeping on a bench at a Greyhound bus terminal at around 1.30 a.m, the NYPD said on Tuesday.
In local news footage of his arrest, Cabana can be heard proudly proclaiming himself ‘public enemy number one’ from inside a police cruiser – and mocking the NYPD by praising the Philadelphia officers who finally located him as the ‘best cops in the United States.’
In another shocking crime, in which the suspect is still at large, an 87-year-old Broadway singing coach who was placed on life support died on Tuesday after she was shoved to the pavement during an unprovoked attack in Manhattan last week.

Surveillance footage released Sunday shows the suspect leaving the scene towards Ninth Avenue. She is described as a red-haired woman, likely in her 30s, wearing a black jacket, black leggings, a white skirt and dark colored shoes. She has not been caught.
The city was also hit in recent days by a string of attacks on homeless men, which left two dead. The suspect, Gerald Brevard III, 30, was arrested Tuesday for the cold-blooded killings and shootings, some of which were caught on shocking video.
Following his arrest, it emerged that Brevard had a lengthy rap sheet including armed robbery, assault with a firearm, destruction of property and theft – and that he was previously found to be ‘psychotic’ and not fit to stand trial for at least one violent crime.
