The Block: Josh and Luke abandon the worksite to party in Melbourne

Josh and Luke Packham broke ‘rule number one’ of The Block on Wednesday’s episode: don’t leave the building site.

The Love Island twins, 27, abandoned the cul-de-sac just days before a room reveal to enjoy a Friday night on the town.

Fellow contestant Georgia Caceres was furious, telling producers the boys were making a mockery of the competition.

‘Where are you going?’ Georgia asked the brothers as everyone else stayed behind. 

Mark McKie then asked if they had completed their room, which would be revealed on the coming Sunday.

A shocked Georgia added: ‘It’s a Friday night, two nights before reveal, [but] if Chapel Street’s calling, you’ve just got to go?’

She added: ‘First timers, you never leave the site. Rule number one!’ 

The Packhams, however, were confident in their progress on site and shrugged off the other teams.

‘We had pretty much finished the room, so we thought to ourselves, why not go have a few drinks?’ Luke said.  

The twins were the talking point of Sunday’s premiere, after Kirsty Lee Akers accused them of breaking the rules when she heard they’d hired a builder to paint their home.

‘Rule number one on The Block is that only contestants can paint,’ she said.  

Josh explained he was not impressed that Kirsty went out of her way to dob them in.

‘It’s not something that Luke and I would usually go and do, go and pull someone up if they’re doing the wrong thing,’ he said.
