The Block’s Ronnie and Georgia Caceres return for the upcoming season Fans v Faves

The Block’s Ronnie and Georgia Caceres return for the upcoming Fans v Faves season… and they look unrecognisable from when they first appeared on the hit renovation show

Fan favourites Ronnie and Georgia Caceres are set to return to this year’s season of The Block, four years after they first appeared on the show.

But the couple look almost unrecognisable from when they made their Block debut back in 2017.

Both appear fresh-faced, with Ronnie, 45, having since grown a beard, while Georgia has darkened her hair.

The couple is determined to win the top spot on this year’s season, after placing third back in 2017, which saw them pocket $161,000 from their renovation.

‘I want to do a really good job, and returning as all-stars brings even more expectation and pressure. We are our own worst critics,’ confessed Georgia, 37, in a statement to Channel Nine.

She added: ‘We will be a little bit smarter and a little bit wiser this season.’

While no premiere date has been announced as yet, The Block is set to return to Channel Nine sometime this year for a 17th season.

Fans v Faves will see previous favourites from the hit show facing off against rookies, who will be appearing for the first time.

Unlike previous seasons, there’ll be no house plans for the teams to work off, and they’ll be tasked with designing the layout from scratch.

Comeback kings: Other favourites returning to the series include fellow couple Mitch Edwards and Mark McKie (pictured), who appeared on the show back in 2019

‘Putting Block Fans up against experienced all-star Faves could have gone in any direction. On the very first day of filming this series, these Blockheads started to argue with each other in a way we had never seen before,’ revealed executive producer and Block co-creator Julian Cress.

‘The competitive spirit of both the Fans and the Faves in this high-pressure build with no plans takes things to a new level week after week and I can’t wait for audiences to see that.’
