The conservative actress and former MMA fighter was fired by Disney after she posted on Instagram Stories that ‘Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors…. even by children.’
The post continued: ‘Because history is edited, most people today don´t realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews.

‘How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?’
New York Magazine writer Jonathan Chait, who is Jewish, came to Carano’s defense in an essay, saying her post ‘was not anti-Semitic by any reasonable definition.’
‘There is no hint anywhere in this post of sympathy for Nazis or blame for their victims,’ he wrote. ‘I don’t find this post especially insightful. But overheated comparisons to Nazi Germany are quite common, and, more to the point, not anti-Semitic.’

Carano was fired by Disney after she posted an Instagram story in which she likened the experience of Jews during the Holocaust to the current U.S. political climate. Lucasfilm called the post ‘abhorrent and unacceptable’

Carano on Friday confirmed her plan to star in a new film in collaboration with with The Daily Wire, the right-leaning news and opinion website founded by conservative commentator Ben Shapiro.
‘The Daily Wire is helping make one of my dreams – to develop and produce my own film – come true,’ Carano told Deadline, which initially broke the news.
‘I cried out and my prayer was answered. I am sending out a direct message of hope to everyone living in fear of cancellation by the totalitarian mob.
‘I have only just begun using my voice which is now freer than ever before, and I hope it inspires others to do the same.
‘They can’t cancel us if we don’t let them.’
Later in the day on Friday, Carano tweeted: ‘This is just the beginning.. welcome to the rebellion.’ The tweet was in response to a post by Shapiro touting the newly announced partnership.
Shapiro told his web publication: ‘We could not be more excited to be working with Gina Carano, an incredible talent dumped by Disney and Lucasfilm for offending the authoritarian Hollywood Left.
‘This is what Daily Wire exists to do: provide an alternative not just for consumers, but for creators who refuse to bow to the mob.
‘We’re eager to bring Gina’s talent to Americans who love her, and we’re just as eager to show Hollywood that if they want to keep cancelling those who think differently, they’ll just be helping us build the X-wing to take down their Death Star.’
So far, no details have been announced about the exact nature of the project.
The film will be produced alongside Dallas Sonnier and his company, Bonfire Legend.
The Daily Wire, a Nashville, Tennessee-based media company, has been working to expand its reach by foraying into the entertainment space.
