The Voice: Gwen Stefani performs debut of new single Let Me Reintroduce Myself as top nine perform

Gwen Stefani delivered a live debut of her new single Let Me Reintroduce Myself on Monday as the nine semifinalists also performed.

The 51-year-old singer took center stage during the two-hour season 19 episode in a colorful bejeweled jacket and thigh-high boots to perform her new song.

Gwen belted out the catchy tune in front of huge video screens showing throwback clips of the No Doubt lead singer and was accompanied by backup dancers wearing face masks and outfits reminiscent of her 1995 music video for Just A Girl.

The Voice host Carson Daly, 47, introduced the show judge and three-time Grammy winner before she performed the world premiere of Let Me Reintroduce Myself.

Gwen had throwbacks in the song to past hits Hollaback Girl and Underneath It All while reminding listeners, ‘I’m still the original me’.

Her fiance Blake Shelton, 44, mouthed the words as she performed and gave Gwen a standing ovation afterward.

Let Me Introduce Myself was released digitally earlier Monday along with a lyric video on Gwen’s YouTube channel.

It was an emotional night for Gwen who later was reduced to tears listening to her teenager singer Carter Rubin perform Rainbow Connection from The Muppet Movie during rehearsals.

Gwen revealed that she used to sing the song to her boys to put them to sleep and was moved by Carter, 15, who dedicated the song to his autistic brother Jack.

‘I’m crying right now and it makes so much sense because it has so much hope,’ said Gwen, who has boys Kingston, 14, Zuma, 12, and Apollo, six, with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale, 55.

Carter performed last and Gwen was in tears again as she told him afterward that his rendition was ‘flawless’.

‘That was so beautiful. I’m so happy for you, you’re so gifted, you’re so intuitive. Your heart is full of music. I’m so honored that you picked me and I’m crying and I’m so happy and I love this frickin’ show and congratulations!,’ Gwen told Carter.

The semifinalists also teamed up for group performances during the two-hour show.

Carter, DeSz, and Jim sang Will It Go Round In Circles, while Ben, Ian and Tamara performed Tulsa Time and Bailey, Cami and John performed Pompeii.

The Voice will return Tuesday on NBC with the results of viewer voting and the elimination of four singers.
