The Young Divas have reunited for the first time in thirteen years after their split.

The Australian Idol supergroup took concertgoers by surprise when Kate DeAraugo and Emily Williams decided to join singer Prinnie Stevens on stage when she performed at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney over the weekend.

The audience was thrilled when the trio decided to sing a few of the Young Divas’ best hits, This Time I Know It’s For Real and You’ll Never Stop Me Loving You.

The group also performed covers from Frank Sinatra and Tina Turner.

Sharing footage from the concert, an excited Ben James, better known by his drag alter ego, Carla from Bankstown, wrote: ‘The Young Divas I want,’ before tagging the trio.

While it’s unclear if the trio were testing out the waters to see if the group could manage without Jessica Mauboy or her predecessor Ricki-Lee Coulter, fans were nonetheless satisfied.

Ben also shared selfies alongside DeAraugo, 36, and Williams, 37 as they posed backstage.

‘They are so iconic and they are still sing so amazing. I was living my gay fantasy honestly,’ he said of the concert.

It comes months after Mauboy told Daily Mail Australia that while she would be ‘up for’ reuniting with The Young Divas, she doesn’t anticipate it would happen anytime soon.

‘I would absolutely love to do it, but I don’t see it happening anytime soon,’ she said back in June.

Emily had other plans, telling Women’s Day: ‘I love all the girls. We have been through a lot together and it would be great to take a walk down memory lane and belt out some tunes’.

After forming in 2006, the group’s first single, This Time I Know It’s for Real, went straight to No. 2 in the Australian charts.

Ricki-Lee left the group in 2007, opening the door for Jessica Mauboy to join.

The band parted ways in 2008, and its members went on to pursue solo careers.
