TikTok star Eixchel Berroteran nearly murdered by stepdad in horrifying attack: ‘Only God knows why I am still here’
TikTok star Eixchel Berroteran has revealed her harrowing ordeal of being attacked by her stepfather in a would-be murder suicide.
Berroteran, who lives in Florida and has more than 4million followers on TikTok, said it is by the grace of God that she survived.
The influencer, 23, and her mother were attacked by her mother’s estranged husband Luis Damas.
They had been married for 13 years before separating seven months ago.
According to police records, Damas showed up at the women’s apartment on August 21, demanding to know where Berroteran was.

‘There are no words to describe the terror, pain, trauma, anxiety and panic attacks this has caused us,’ Berroteran wrote on Instagram beneath photos of her injuries
He claimed that she was the reason his marriage to her mother didn’t work out, and demanded to see her.
Once inside, he shot at Berroteran and her mother in what she calls an attempted murder suicide.
He told the women he ‘came here to die’ before threatening to kill Berroteran, who hid under the bed while her mother wrestled with her stepfather.

Eventually, the pair talked him into calming down.
He left the home, after telling them to ‘clean up’ the scene.
The women filed a police report days later. Initially, they said they were scared to report him.
‘There are no words to describe the terror, pain, trauma, anxiety and panic attacks this has caused us,’ Berroteran wrote on Instagram beneath photos of her injuries.
She shared photos of her bruised belly, a cut on her hand and bruises on her leg.
Damas was arrested and made a brief court appearance on Wednesday.
